Well, when we chose the name Ursa for the new little one I didn't quite anticipate it would be so hard for Norwegian-speakers to understand! A typical conversation (in Norwegian) goes as follows:
"Oh, your baby is so cute! What's her name?"
"Ursa."
"Åse?"
"No, Ursa."
"Osel?"
"No, Ursa, like Ursula but shorter."
"Oh, Ursula!" (and looking at me like why didn't I just say so in the first place?)
Maybe its because I don't roll my "r"s like Norwegians do...
